Two-stepping hosts and costumed apes started off the night at the 2001 MTV Movie Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon and Kirsten Dunst, the 2001 MTV Movie Awards premiered on MTV on Thursday, June 7, 2001.
